Christopher Blais

Director, Asset Strategy at Scouts Canada

Christopher Blais has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Christopher began their career at Katimavik as a Project Officer in 2005 and then moved on to Kids Help Phone as the Regional Director for Quebec from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they worked at the National Judicial Institute as the Manager of Program Planning and Delivery from 2010 to 2011. Christopher then joined the University of Ottawa as the Manager of Faculty Development from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, Christopher joined Scouts Canada as the Council Executive Director until 2018, then transitioned to the role of Regional Director until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Asset Strategy at Scouts Canada. Additionally, they assumed the role of Municipal Councillor at the Municipality of Chelsea in November 2021.

Christopher Blais has a diverse education history. In 1998, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a focus on communications. Christopher successfully completed their degree in 2003. In 2004, Christopher attended the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Events Management. Christopher completed this program in 2005. In 2009, Christopher enrolled in Dale Carnegie to enhance their skills in Effective Communications and Human Relations. Most recently, in 2019, they attended the Erikson Institute, where they pursued Coaching Competencies for Leaders.
