Patrick Hein

Choir Director/ Music Teacher at Scranton School District

Patrick Hein has extensive experience in the field of music education. Patrick began their career as a private instructor at Scranton Music Academy in 2012 and also worked as a private lesson teacher and instrument repair technician at Magdon Music. In 2016, they joined Settlement Music School as a string instructor and later became a middle school music teacher at The School District of Philadelphia. In 2017, they became the 2nd-12th orchestra director at First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School. Additionally, they served as a division leader at Tyler Hill Camp and currently holds the position of choir director and music teacher at Scranton School District since 2020. Patrick Hein has a diverse range of experience in teaching music to students of different age groups and skill levels.

Patrick Hein attended Scranton High School from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Marywood University from 2012 to 2015. Patrick then went on to obtain a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education from 2017 to 2020. Simultaneously, from 2016 to 2020, they also pursued a Master of Arts in Music Education from Marywood University. Patrick's additional certification is in Music PK-12 in Pennsylvania, obtained from the Pa. Department of Education.
