Robert Rucker

Robert Rucker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Robert is currently working as the Director of Operations at Scranton School District since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer at the U.S. Department of Labor from April 2020 to May 2021.

From 2016 to 2020, they worked at the Joint Munitions Command, where they had two roles. First, as a Safety Specialist, they monitored the contractor's compliance with safety regulations, conducted inspections, and ensured hazmat compliance. Then, as a Quality Control Specialist, they managed all aspects of a quality program, conducted audits, and developed quality assurance plans.

From 2011 to 2016, Robert worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot as an Engineering Technician. Robert was responsible for coordinating underground utilities, providing training, and overhauling navigation radio sets. Prior to this, from 2001 to 2012, they served in the US Army as a Technical Engineer, where they gained experience in various engineering projects, project management, drafting, and surveying.

Robert also has prior experience working as a Distribution Process Worker at the Defense Logistics Agency from 2009 to 2010, and as an Equipment Operator and Psychiatric Aide at the PA Department of Public Welfare-Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services from 2005 to 2009.

Robert Rucker earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Eastern Kentucky University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Lackawanna College from 2010 to 2012 and obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Electronics Technology. From 2006 to 2008, Robert studied Architectural Engineering at Luzerne County Community College, although they did not obtain a degree in this field. Robert completed their secondary education at South Johnston High School, where they earned a diploma from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Robert obtained the DAWIA PQM Level 1 certification from the Defense Acquisition University in December 2015.
