Mike Malan

Mike Malan is the current CFO at Scrap Metal Services. Prior to their current position, Malan worked as Vice President of M&A at Evercore from January 2011 to December 2016. In this role, they provided M&A, corporate finance and strategic advice to a broad range of corporations. Some of the representative transaction experiences Malan had during their time at Evercore include the sale of interest in Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center for Forest City and related party team valuation analysis for the National Basketball Association.

From 2007 to 2008, Malan worked as an Associate at Citigroup where they served as the lead financial analyst covering the U.S. merger arbitrage universe. Prior to Citigroup, Malan worked as an Analyst at Dillon Read Capital Management from 2006 to 2007 and Amaranth Advisors from 2005 to 2006.

Malan began their professional career in 2002 as a Running back for the St. Louis Rams and later the New England Patriots in 2003. After their brief stint in the NFL, Malan became a Consultant before returning to the financial sector.

Mike Malan started their educational career by getting their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mike then went on to get their Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University. After that, they got a certification from LinkedIn in Excel for Corporate Finance Professionals. Finally, they got certifications from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in Series 63, 7, and 79.
