Anthea Williams

Anthea Williams is a multifaceted theatre professional with extensive experience as a director, developer, and dramaturg. Since October 2017, Anthea has been self-employed while also serving in prominent roles such as External Assessment and Development at Screen Australia since January 2018. Notable directorial works include "Pony," which explores themes of motherhood, and "M'ap Boulé," a powerful blend of music and revolution. Anthea has directed various productions across respected companies, including Griffin Theatre Company and Belvoir, and has been recognized for masterful direction and handling of significant subjects in their projects. Educational credentials include a BAHons1 in Theatre and Film from UNSW, a Post Graduate Diploma in Directing from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a program in Film/TV/Screen Development from Screen Australia.
