Helen Leake Am

Helen Leake AM is an experienced producer and executive in the Australian film industry, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for Screen Australia since June 2021. As the owner and producer of Dancing Road Productions since 2014, Helen collaborates with Gena Ashwell to leverage insights gained from Duo Art Productions, which has been under Helen's ownership since 1994, focusing on developing and producing quality films and documentaries. Helen has held significant roles including Chair of the Australian International Documentary Conference from 2007 to 2013, Chief Executive Officer of the South Australian Film Corporation between 2004 and 2007, and Commissioner for the Australian Film Commission from 1998 to 2004. Helen holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Psychology from Flinders University and has an educational background from Seymour College in South Australia.
