Jason Fernandes has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. In 2020, they were a Biomedical Scientist at Scribe Therapeutics. In 2019, they were a Project Scientist at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2018, they were a Ruth Kirschstein NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow at the UC Santa Cruz Genomics Institute. Jason Fernandes attended Columbia University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science. From 2005 to 2013, they attended the University of California, San Francisco, where they earned a PhD in the Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics, with a focus in Viral Evolution and Proteomics. Jason then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Santa Cruz in Genome Sciences/Genomics from 2016 to 2019.
