Matthew Esch has worked in the tech industry since 1998. Matthew began their career as a Software Engineer and Engineering Manager at NBCi/Flyswat. Matthew then moved to Oracle in 2003, where they were a Software Engineer responsible for design, development, and testing of various pieces of the application. In 2005, they joined WebTrends/ClickShift as a Senior Software Engineer and Director of Engineering, managing a team of 16 people. In 2010, they co-founded Gear Burger and BadgMe, a deal alert service and Facebook application respectively. In 2011, they co-founded Rally Commerce, creating a deal commerce platform for enterprise merchants. In 2016, they became an Engineering Manager at Pandora, managing a team of 11 full-stack developers responsible for all aspects of ad buying. In 2017, they moved to HOVER Inc. as the Director of Engineering. Most recently, they joined Scribe as the VP of Engineering in 2021.

Matthew Esch received a BS/MEng in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1993 and 1998. Matthew then completed an independent course in Sonology (Electronic Music) at the Royal Conservatory between 2001 and 2003.
