Ayush Tiwari

Ayush Tiwari is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a Special Correspondent at Scroll.in since November 2023, focusing on politics, business, Indian elections, and religious extremism. Prior to this role, Tiwari worked at The Morning Context as a Correspondent from April 2023 to November 2023, where investigations centered on the intersection of social media and religious conflict, the business landscape of media, technology in the gig economy, and government surveillance. From July 2018 to January 2023, Tiwari was a Correspondent at Newslaundry, producing investigative reports on significant issues in various Indian states, including the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir and communal violence in Delhi. Tiwari began a career in journalism with an editorial internship focusing on event logistics and also completed research on India's health policies at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. Tiwari holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government with a focus on International Relations from Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts, earned between 2014 and 2018.
