Elmay Balikci

Elmay Balikci has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries.

Starting in 2015, while still in university, Balikci worked as a General Assistant (Temp) at African Alliance during university holidays. This role involved tasks such as filing, asset management, organizing service level agreements, and updating minute books.

In 2018, Balikci became an English Teacher at Meten International Education Group, where they taught English to students. They held this role until 2020.

In the same year, Balikci also worked as a Private Tutor, specializing in Afrikaans First Additional Language. They provided one-on-one sessions for primary and high school students.

In 2020, Balikci had an internship at VMLY&R as a User Experience Design Intern. They worked on various projects for clients such as Ford, MTN, and ABSA, utilizing research methods to distill insights and compile reports.

From 2020 to 2022, Balikci worked as a Quality Assurance Test Engineer at Brownie Points, contributing to quality assurance efforts.

In 2022, Balikci joined ThinkDigital as a Quality Assurance Test Engineer for a short period, working until August.

Following this, they worked at Open Vantage as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer from 2022 to 2023.

Currently, Balikci is employed at SovTech as a QA Automation Engineer, starting in April 2023.

Elmay Balikci completed a Bachelor of Arts (Law Major) degree in Law and Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, which spanned from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, they pursued a BA (Hons) Degree in General Psychology from the same university. In addition to their academic qualifications, Elmay Balikci obtained two certifications: "Analog Photography: Shooting & Processing Black-and-White Film" from LinkedIn in April 2020 and "Figma for UX Design" from LinkedIn in April 2020.
