Miriam Swaffer

Miriam Swaffer is a seasoned professional in social impact, currently serving as Senior Director at SCS Global Services since 2016, where leadership focuses on social auditing and stakeholder engagement in high-risk raw material production. With previous roles including Director of Social Impact and Social Impact Evaluator, Miriam has contributed to building transparency and social auditing capacity in response to increasing stakeholder demands. Other experiences include serving as Associate Director of Communications at The Center For Carbon Removal, and various roles at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where efforts were directed at reducing deforestation and promoting sustainability. Additionally, volunteer work as a tour guide for San Francisco City Guides and as a Community Leader for the HONEYMOON ISRAEL FOUNDATION INC highlights a commitment to dialogue and storytelling. Miriam holds a BA in International Development & Social Change from Clark University.
