Bas Kohne

Bas Kohne has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to the present. Bas began their career at Vanko BV as a Technical Designer and Planner, where they created drawings for production, coordinated procurement, and provided design advice to customers. From 2003 to 2005, Bas worked at Nedtrain as a Procurement Planner and later as a Planner, where they managed procurement, monitored production planning, and supported supply processes.

In 2008, Bas joined CATANA as a Tooling Engineer, developing aftermarket tooling for the aerospace industry. Bas created one-off tooling for customers such as KLM and Fokker. From 2010 to 2015, Bas worked independently as a Mechanical Project Engineer and Project Manager, where they were responsible for the planning and production of the Heptakosmoj fine arts project. Bas also developed production aids and technical designs for large kinetic art structures.

In 2015, Bas joined Plymovent as a Mechanical Product Development Engineer in R&D. Bas was responsible for the mechanical designs and optimization of products in the air extraction and filtration business. Bas worked on the design process from start to finish and provided aftercare.

Starting in 2022, Bas worked as an Independent Engineer before joining SCW Systems in 2023 as a Project Engineer specializing in CO2 cleanup.

Bas Kohne's education history begins in 1999 when they attended Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag. Bas studied Industrieel ontwerpen (Industrial design) / Industrieel product ontwerpen from 1999 to 2001, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution.

In 2002, Kohne enrolled in the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Technische bedrijfskunde. Bas completed their degree in 2005.

Later, in 2016, Kohne attended the KHL Art Acadmy Haarlem Leiden for Fine Arts. Bas completed their Bachelor's Degree in this field of study in 2017.

Apart from their formal education, Kohne has obtained certifications as well. In 2018, they completed a course called "Design Principles for Precision Engineering" at High Tech Institute.
