South Carolina Youth Advocate Program
Caroline Brown is an experienced advocate currently working with the South Carolina Youth Advocate Program, specializing in behavioral intervention and family support for adolescents and their families. Previous roles include a Key Leader at lululemon, Assistant General Manager at 82 Queen Restaurant, and Mental Health Technician at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health. Caroline began their career at 82 Queen as a Hostess and served as a Young Life Leader with Young Life. Additionally, Caroline worked as a Walk for Water Intern with Water Mission. Academic qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University (expected March 2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Psychology from the College of Charleston. Educational background also includes a High School Diploma from Christ Church Episcopal School.

The South Carolina Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is South Carolina’s premier provider of foster care and community-based services. We are a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 child-placing and family-serving organization. SCYAP has served children and families in South Carolina since 1990. SCYAP programs promote individualized treatment, flexible programming, case and cause advocacy, community-based services, and a positive approach to treating children and working with families. We have a comprehensive array of programs and services to children and families dealing with serious emotional, behavioral, psychological and/or development issues.
