Alex Bichler

Alex Bichler has a diverse work experience beginning in 2010 when they became the Owner of Lojikal Co. In 2012, they took on the role of Product Analyst at ViaWest, where they developed dashboards and reports using R, SQL, Python, and Tableau, performed hierarchical clustering analysis of sold products, and created proof of concepts for Naive Bayes classification, Hidden Markov model, and a live stream twitter sentiment analysis for company hackathons. In 2017, they joined Flexential as a Sr. Data Science Platform Engineer, where they supported and enabled client success by promoting clear dialog and common understanding through secure, optimized, and trusted data products. Alex was also responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of custom data warehousing, reporting, and data-delivery solutions to support strategic and analytical data functions. In addition, they supported system integration needs that relied on data manipulation to make analysis and visualization possible. Alex also held the role of Sr. Data Scientist, where they developed secure, optimized, and trusted data products to drive insight and understanding across several functions within the business. Alex provided SME support and contributed code in the development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, as well as created advanced analytics to drive informed business decisions. Finally, they held the role of Associate Data Scientist, where they created dashboards and data sources for Tableau server, developed programs for getting and cleaning data with python and pandas, and designed and implemented methods for automated reporting systems. In 2023, Alex Bichler joined Scythe Robotics as a Data Platform Engineer.

Alex Bichler earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2009 and 2012. Alex then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience at The University of Texas at Dallas, which they completed in 2014. In addition, Alex holds five certifications: ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT obtained in October 2017; Exploratory Data Analysis from Coursera Verified Certificates obtained in March 2015; Getting and Cleaning Data from Coursera Verified Certificates obtained in February 2015; R Programming from Coursera Verified Certificates obtained in September 2014; and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates obtained in August 2014.
