Ian Scott

Ian Scott has over 13 years of professional experience in software engineering. Ian began their career in 2007 as a Software Engineer at Silicon Navigator, developing logging, plugin, and embedded Python and Tcl language subsystems for a proprietary EDA framework in C++ and Qt. In 2008, they moved to Parallel Engines as a System Architect, leading the overall architecture of a general-purpose application framework in C++ with Qt. In 2010, they joined Chip Path Design Systems as Systems Director, developing a rich web application that allowed users to estimate cost of FPGA and SoC devices and search an extensive semiconductor IP catalog. In 2014, they moved to Arteris as a Software Development Engineer, leading the creation of a data-intensive application for semiconductor IP configuration using hybrid web and desktop technologies. In 2016, they joined Occipital as Head Of Infrastructure, Manager, Web and Infrastructure Engineering, and Backend Web Engineer. In their roles at Occipital, they led the web team through new flagship product launch, automated e-commerce and customer experience flows, consolidated reporting and data science platforms, and transitioned complex frontends to Vue.js framework. In 2022, they joined Scythe Robotics as Senior Full Stack Web Engineer.

Ian Scott completed a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
