Rachel Chia

Rachel Chia has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Rachel currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Regulatory Officer & General Counsel at SDAX since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at LC Nursing Home Pte Ltd as a Manager from 2020 to 2021, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the nursing home and worked closely with regulatory authorities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rachel was also a founding team member of several blockchain projects from 2018 to 2019. Before that, they held positions at Merrill Lynch as the Head of Equity Structured Financing, APAC, Director and as the Director of Structured Equity Finance and Trading from 2012 to 2018. Rachel started their career as a Senior Attorney at Latham & Watkins from 2010 to 2012 and served as a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance from 2003 to 2010.

Rachel Chia received their LLB degree in Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1998 to 2001. Rachel then pursued further education at the University of Chicago Law School, where they obtained an LLM degree in Law from 2001 to 2002.
