José Carlos Pérez

José Carlos Pérez has a diverse work experience in the field of Big Data and software development. José Carlos currently holds the position of Big Data Specialist Lead at SDG Group since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Big Data Specialist at the same company from February 2022 to February 2023. Before joining SDG Group, they were a Professor at MSMK starting from November 2021.

In 2018, Pérez joined Orange as a Senior Data Engineer, where they were responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing Big Data solutions using technologies such as Cloudera, AWS, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark Batch, Spark Streaming, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, and Git. José Carlos used programming languages like Scala and Kotlin in their role.

Prior to Orange, Pérez worked at Treelogic as a Big Data R&D Engineer from October 2017 to September 2018. José Carlos was involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of Big Data solutions in the Hadoop ecosystem using Cloudera or Hortonworks distributions. José Carlos utilized technologies such as Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark Batch, Spark Streaming, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, and Git. José Carlos worked with programming languages like Java, Scala, and Kotlin.

From November 2016 to October 2017, Pérez was employed at Synergic Partners as a Big Data Developer. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing Big Data solutions using the Hadoop framework with distributions like Cloudera. José Carlos utilized technologies such as Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Spark, Spark MLlib, and programming languages like Java and Scala.

Pérez started their career at BABEL in 2014, where they worked as a Big Data Developer and Software Developer. José Carlos'sresponsibilities included development with Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache HCatalog, Apache Flume, Apache Derby, and Neo4j. José Carlos also worked as a Software Developer, utilizing Java, MySQL, Oracle SQL, DB2, Hibernate, Spring, JSF, IceFaces, and Bash Script.

Pérez began their professional journey in 2013 at Interra Ingeniería y Recursos as a Software Developer. José Carlos worked with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, jQueryUI, JSON, ArcGIS, C#, .NET Framework 3.5/4.

Pérez's first work experience was as a Software Developer at Grupo de Investigación BISITE in 2012, where they gained practical experience with Unity3D and JavaScript.

From 2012 to 2013, they attended Universidad de Salamanca and earned a degree in Grado en Ingeniería Informática (Computer Science).

In 2011, they enrolled in Universidad de Salamanca and completed a program in Experto en el Desarrollo de Sistemas para el Comercio Electrónico (Computer Science).

Between 2007 and 2012, they pursued a degree in Ingeniería Técnica en Informática de Sistemas (Computer Science) at Universidad de Salamanca.
