Laia Igelmo Amorós

Laia Igelmo Amorós has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Laia started their professional journey as a Customer Service Advisor at Media Markt from July 2017 to August 2018.

Laia then joined the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya as an intern, where they worked from September 2018 to August 2020.

Following their internship, Laia worked as a Clinical Diagnostic Program Developer at Werfen from April 2021 to September 2021. In this role, they utilized programming languages such as C++, Java, and Typescript, along with various libraries.

In 2022, Laia joined CSB - Computer Sciences Brand S.L. as a Gestion y tratamiento de datos, where they focused on designing and developing ETL processes using SQL and Talend technologies. Laia also worked on visualization solutions using Microstrategy.

Currently, Laia is working at SDG Group as a Big Data Developer, starting in October 2022. In this role, they are part of a team responsible for maintaining and improving a Spark Scala engine for the Public Sector within a Cloudera environment. Additionally, they are also involved in a similar project for Zurich within an Azure environment.

Overall, Laia Igelmo Amorós has gained experience in customer service, software development, data management, and Big Data engineering throughout their career.

Laia Igelmo Amorós completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2013 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachillerato in the scientific-technological branch from Institut Pedagògic Sant Isidor (IPSI) between 2011 and 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Laia also obtained several certifications. In September 2016, they completed a training course in coaching tools from Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación. In March 2016, they earned a certification in commercial decoration from Centro Súmate. In the same month, they also acquired certifications in character design and world design for video games from the California Institute of the Arts. Laia also completed a certification in interior decoration from Centro Súmate in January 2016. Furthermore, they achieved a B2 level of English proficiency certified by Pearson in April 2013.
