Taavi Kõosaar

Taavi Kõosaar has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Taavi started their career as a Software Developer at Vita Group OÜ, where they worked on .NET solution development, solution design, testing, and analysis. Taavi then became a Lead Developer, Technical Architect, and Partner at the same company, responsible for defining technology strategy, leading development teams, and designing and implementing solution architectures.

After that, Taavi joined Microsoft as a Development Consultant, working with top public and private sector customers to help them succeed with Microsoft technologies. Taavi specialized in software development with .NET, C#, SharePoint, SQL Server, BizTalk, WCF, WF, and WPF, as well as Application Lifecycle Management with TFS and application performance troubleshooting and tuning.

Following their time at Microsoft, Taavi worked as a self-employed private consultant, selling their skills as a contractor. Taavi also became a Core Team Member at Global DevOps Bootcamp, contributing to the organization's activities.

Taavi then joined EU-Supply as Chief Architect and later as System Architect. In these roles, they were responsible for driving technology strategy, implementing architecture changes, driving product improvements, and working with development tooling and processes.

Next, Taavi worked at Solidify Sverige as a DevOps Consultant, assisting customers with DevOps and Continuous Delivery on platforms like Azure and Microsoft.

From 2016 to 2020, Taavi served as the VP of Engineering at Chinsay, where they were responsible for the engineering and delivery of their intelligent contract platform. Taavi set goals and key results, conducted performance reviews and coaching, participated in talent management, and assisted with budget management.

Currently, Taavi is the VP of Engineering at Sea/ by Maritech, where they continue to lead the engineering efforts of the company.

Throughout their career, Taavi has also been recognized as a Visual Studio ALM MVP and has excelled in various technologies such as C#, T-SQL, Web Services, ASP.NET, TFS, and SQL Server.

Taavi Kõosaar has a strong education background in the field of Information Systems and Computer Science. Taavi obtained their MSc degree with Cum laude honors from TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology between the years 2005 and 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Diploma in Systems Development at Estonian IT College from 2002 to 2005.

Taavi completed their high school education at Jüri Gymnasium from 1999 to 2002. Other than their formal education, Taavi Kõosaar has also acquired additional certifications such as the AZ-300 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies from Microsoft in January 2019. Furthermore, they obtained the AOWD (Advanced Open Water Diver) certification from PADI in January 2011 and the OWD (Open Water Diver) certification from PADI in August 2008.
