Nithin Sanghe

Deputy Director - Manufacturing And Supply Chain at Sea6 Energy

Nithin Sanghe has worked in various roles across two companies. Nithin started their career in 2009 as a Research Scholar at IIT Madras, where they investigated Hyaluronic Acid production in chemostat fermentation of recombinant L. lactis strains. Nithin then joined Sea6 Energy Private Limited in 2012 as General Manager Manufacturing. Nithin was responsible for overall manufacturing and supply chain divisions of the company and developed the framework for manufacturing accounting, material flow and processes for ERP systems to be implemented. Nithin was also accountable for all legal compliances of the manufacturing division and successfully implemented IMO (organic) certification for the manufacturing facility. In addition, they were involved in ideating for new processes and equipment to fulfil new product development requirements, as well as process development of agri-biodefense product line, aqua feed product lines and sea vegetable fibre product line. Nithin also headed and executed negotiations with all 3P and outsourced manufacturing operations, and initiated Import-Export operations of the company. In their role as Process Development Engineer, they conceptualized, planned, led and executed a research project on "Metabolic Engineering of Marine Bacteria for the Production of Isobutanol in Saltwater", which was awarded the Biotechnology Ignition Grant by the Department of Biotechnology (GoI).

Nithin Sanghe's education history includes obtaining a Master of Science in Bioprocess Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 2009 to 2012. Nithin also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2004 to 2008. Lastly, they obtained their High School degree from The Valley School, KFI from 1992 to 2004, with a focus in Science.
