Co-Founder at Seaber

Mika Marjalaakso began their career as the Founding CEO of Viola Systems Oy in 2000. In 2004, they became the Chairman of the Board of Oak Ventures Oy. From 2011 to 2018, they were the Co-Founder and Chairman of Walkbase, a retail analytics and marketing automation platform. In 2012, they began mentoring at The Founder Institute. In 2018, they became the Executive Chairman and CEO & Co-Founder of Aivo Health, a digital pain management company. In 2019, they became the Co-Founder of Safegrid, a company that helps utilities manage and optimize their electric grids. Mika also became the Co-Founder of Vensum Power in 2018, a company that enables a revolution in power conversion. In 2017, they became the Co-Founder of Seaber.io, a company that revolutionizes the way bulk and break bulk shipping is planned and operated. In 2020, they began advising Project Meliora, a therapeutic action video game developed at Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. Mika is also an Investor and Advisor at AlphaSense, a leading AI-powered business insights platform.

Mika Marjalaakso attended IE Business School from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained an International Executive MBA in Finance. Prior to this, they attended Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan between 1995 and 2005, during which time they earned a Master of Science in Technology and Software.
