Mikael Sand

CTO/Co-Founder at Seaber

Mikael Sand has a lengthy work experience in the technology industry. Mikael started their career in 2008 as the Director and Founder of Satek. In 2009, they became a Research Assistant at Åbo Akademi University, where they were responsible for developing a graphical interface of the SOCOS IDE and reworking the specification of the IBP syntax. In 2010, they were a Student Representative (substitute) at the Department Council of the Department of Information Technologies at Åbo Akademi University. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Founder and Lead Developer at Infinify/InfiniteWhiteboard.com, as well as a Founder and President at OpenDemocracy.fi. In 2014, they were a Lead Developer at Infolytika.com/Risklab.fi. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Researcher, Project Manager, and Lead Developer at Åbo Akademi University, and a Lead Developer and Data Scientist at Obesus Oy. Since 2017, they have been the CTO/Co-Founder of Seaber Ltd.

Mikael Sand received their Master's Degree in Computer Science from Åbo Akademi University in 2014, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and long minors in Physics and Mathematics from the same institution in 2013. Mikael also holds a Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology from Vaasan ammattiopisto, and a Matriculation Examination from Vasa svenska aftonläroverk, which is a curriculum for the upper secondary schools in Finland. Additionally, Mikael is also a graduate of Boost Turku.
