Bryant Brown has a significant amount of experience in the energy industry. Bryant recently joined Seaboard Energy as the VP of Sales & Marketing in September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the General Land Office of Texas from 2020 to 2021, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and Director of the State Energy Marketing Program. In these roles, they were responsible for marketing state gas, oil, and electricity to public retail customers. Bryant also supplied natural gas and power to Texas school districts, municipalities, and other government-owned agencies. From 2004 to 2020, they worked at Valero Energy Corporation as a Refined Products Supply and Renewable Fuels Trader, where they traded renewable fuels and managed schedulers and US operations for the Refined Products Supply Group. Before that, they were the Director of Refined Products Transportation at Duke Energy Corporation from 2000 to 2004, where they managed schedulers and analysts covering transportation logistics. Prior to that, they were the Director of Supply and Operations at TransMontaigne from 1996 to 2000, where they oversaw supply and operations. Bryant began their career at Metalgesellshaft in 1989 as a Supply Specialist, managing supply for inventory locations and scheduling refined products. Bryant also worked as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen from 1988 to 1989.
Bryant Brown completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University, where they attended from 1984 to 1988. After completing their undergraduate studies, Bryant obtained several certifications to further enhance their qualifications. In June 1995, they obtained their AICPA certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Additionally, they obtained their Texas CPA certification from the TEXAS SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS during the same period. Furthermore, in January 2002, Bryant acquired the Energy Risk Professional certification from Duke Energy Corporation.
