John R Reed

John R. Reed has extensive experience in the field of safety and health programs. John R.'srecent role is Safety Director at Seacoast Scaffold and Equipment Corp. Before that, they worked as Director of Environment Health Safety at Mercy, overseeing chemical hygiene and environment of care programs. John R. also served as Director of Environmental Health and Safety at the University of Southern Maine and worked as a Compliance Officer at the State of Maine Department of Labor, conducting OSHA safety inspections in different public sector establishments in Southern Maine. John R.'searly career experience includes working as an Emergency Coordinator/Safety Technician/Incident Commander at National Semiconductor, where they oversaw safety for the night shift, supervised emergency response technicians, and trained employees on safety-related topics.

John R. Reed attended the University of Southern Maine from 1992 to 2000, where they earned multiple bachelor's degrees in Industrial Technology/Technician, Occupational Safety and Health, and EH&S. John R. later received several additional certifications, including becoming an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction and General Industry, an authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor for General Industry, and an AHA CPR/AED Instructor.
