Joanne Shields

Joanne Shields has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Joanne currently holds the position of Financial Director at SEACOM LTD since August 2023. Prior to this role, they served as Chief Operating Officer at SEACOM LTD from September 2022 to August 2023 and as Head of Programme Management & Strategic Alliances from August 2021 to September 2022. Before joining SEACOM LTD, Joanne worked at BT, where they held various leadership positions. These include Regional Operations Manager AMEA & Global Head of Contract Management (Banking & Finance) from March 2019 to March 2021, Africa Country Manager & Chief Operating Officer Middle East Africa from July 2017 to March 2019, and CFO and Head of Operations (Chief Operating Officer) Middle East and Africa from June 2010 to April 2016, among others. Joanne also gained experience as a Financial Controller at Philips from December 1997 to February 2002 and as an Audit Atricle Clerk at Coopers & Lybrand from January 1994 to November 1997.

Joanne Shields completed their B Com Accounting Honours degree in Accounting from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit, studying from 1990 to 1993.
