Jan-Emil Johannessen

Jan-Emil Johannessen has extensive experience in the aquaculture and genetics sectors. Currently, Jan-Emil serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at Seagems Group and as a board member for Fossing Storsmolt AS, Salmon Evolution, and Salmar Genetics AS. Additionally, Jan-Emil maintains a longstanding role as Chairman of the Board for Vital Marin AS and Sulefisk AS and SolSmolt AS, and as Owner and Managing Director of Jawendel AS. Jan-Emil previously held significant leadership positions at Benchmark Holdings plc, including Head of Shrimp and Tilapia Genetics, and managing roles in Benchmark Genetics in Norway. Jan-Emil earned a Siviløkonom degree from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and has a solid educational foundation from Fana Gymnas.
