Fred Powell

Fred Powell has extensive work experience in the field of aviation technology. Fred began their career in 1992 at Computing Technologies for Aviation (CTA), where they created a revolutionary program called FOS. Fred worked at CTA for almost two decades before moving on to Rockwell Collins in 2011, where they served as the FOS Program Manager. In 2015, they joined Stellar Labs, Inc. as the VP Operator Systems, and they held this position until April 2022. Currently, Fred is the VP of Product at Portside, starting in April 2022.

Fred Powell obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. Additionally, in September 1994, they obtained a certification as a Private Pilot. No further information is available about the institution where this certification was obtained.
