Somaieh Salehpour, PhD has over 15 years of experience in various roles within the technology and product development industry. Somaieh began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa, where they developed and synthesized polymeric products for hydrogels and adhesives. Somaieh also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Part-time Professor at the university.

In 2003, Somaieh joined Marlic Medical Industries Co. as an R&D Formulation Scientist, and in 2004, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Mahsar Tousee Eng. Co.

Somaieh then moved on to EcoSynthetix Inc. in 2011, where they held multiple roles including Senior Engineering Project Manager, Product Development Manager, and Global Product Manager. During their time at EcoSynthetix, they led product development projects, managed cross-functional teams, and played a key role in launching new products.

In 2015, Somaieh joined Shawcor as a Product Manager and later took on the role of Global Technology and Product Development Manager. Somaieh was responsible for leading innovation and product development efforts, representing Shawcor on international technical committees, and managing the company's patent portfolio.

Most recently, Somaieh has been working at Seal For Life Industries as the Vice President of Technology and Strategic Marketing since 2020. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing technology and strategic marketing initiatives.

Throughout their career, Somaieh has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a track record of driving business growth through strategic marketing and product development.

Somaieh Salehpour, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of engineering. Somaieh received a Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Engineering and Science from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 2003. Somaieh then went on to pursue higher education at the University of Ottawa, where they obtained a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc) degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from 2005 to 2007. Continuing their academic journey, Somaieh earned a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the same university from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained the certification of Bullet Proof Management Training from Crestcom in December 2013, where they enhanced their leadership skills and exchanged ideas with other professionals in the business field.
