Matt Nicholls

Matt Nicholls has over 17 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Matt is currently the VP of Engineering at Seal Storage Technology since December 2021. Prior to this, Matt worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Rebellion Defense from March 2021 to December 2021. Matt also served as a Software Engineer at Sophos from July 2020 to March 2021. Before that, they were a Master Software Engineer at Capital One from September 2017 to July 2020, where they were responsible for design and implementation of an enterprise data enrichment service. Matt also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ESAC Inc from February 2016 to September 2017, focusing on cloud native applications and infrastructure design. Matt started their career at SRA International in November 2010, working on Java and JEE applications for The Cancer Genome Atlas Data Coordinating Center. Matt's early career includes their role as a Staff Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin from July 2004 to November 2010, where they were involved in the Next Generation Identification project for the FBI.

Matt Nicholls completed their education at Virginia Tech, where they obtained a degree in MIT in 2007. Matt has also obtained a certification in "Learning the OWASP Top 10" from LinkedIn in July 2020.
