Miles Woodard has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Miles began their career in 1997 as a Naval Officer, where they trained submarine officers and received awards for their performance. Miles then worked as a Research Assistant at UCSD/Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where they operated computer climate models. Miles also worked as an Application Engineer at NSK Corporation, consulting with industrial equipment manufacturers. Miles joined the US Navy Reserve in 2004, holding various roles such as Action Officer and Command Advisor. Miles was also recalled to active duty as a Defense Security Cooperation Program Manager. Miles later worked at Ford Motor Company as a Global Competitive Product Strategy Specialist and Fuel Economy Planner. In 2021, they became the Director of Business Development at SeaLandAire Technologies, Inc. Throughout their career, Miles has demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and exceptional service in support of various missions and projects.
Miles Woodard completed their education at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Miles attended the university from 2009 to 2013. Before that, they attended the United States Naval Academy from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Oceanography/German.
