Yuchen Yang

Yuchen Yang is a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist currently working at SeaMoney and Shopee since October 2022. At SeaMoney, Yuchen leads a risk modeling sub-team focused on credit products in Thailand, designing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models for credit risk prediction and managing feature pipelines. Prior to this, Yuchen was a Data Scientist at SAP, where a BERT-base NLP model for financial news event extraction was developed and deployed. Yuchen's earlier experience includes a role as New Product Development Engineer at Schlumberger and Associate Scientist at Temasek Laboratories @NUS, contributing to research in numerical and experimental fluid dynamics. Yuchen holds a Master of Science in Business Analytics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, along with a Student Exchange Program experience at the University of Stuttgart.
