Scott Gayton

Scott Gayton is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in corporate finance and governance. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Seapeak since January 2022, following the acquisition of Teekay LNG by Stonepeak, Scott held the role of CFO at Teekay LNG from June 2018 to May 2022, overseeing crucial financial operations and strategic initiatives. With a strong background at Teekay from 2001 to January 2022, Scott advanced through various roles, including Vice President of Finance, where responsibilities encompassed managing equity and bond financings for multiple NYSE-listed entities. Prior to that, Scott was CFO at Tanker Investments Ltd. from 2014 to 2017, successfully leading significant fundraising efforts and compliance during the company's initial public offering. Scott began a career in finance at EY as a Senior Accountant, specializing in audits for large public companies. Educational credentials include a Chartered Professional Accountant designation from CPA Canada and a degree from The University of British Columbia.
