Erol Uzumeri

Mr. Uzumeri is a Founding Partner of Searchlight, and is jointly responsible for overseeing the Firm’s activities with the two other Founding Partners. Mr. Uzumeri is currently a member of the Board of Mitel and Chairman of the Boards of M&M Food Market and Roots. Prior to co-founding Searchlight, Mr. Uzumeri was the head of Private Equity for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Mr. Uzumeri serves on the Board of the Sick Kids Hospital Foundation. Mr. Uzumeri graduated from the University of Toronto, with BASc. degree in Honors Industrial Engineering and received his MSc. in Finance from the London Business School.
