Sam De Silva is a highly experienced marine engineer, currently serving at SeaRoad since October 2020. Previous roles include 1st Engineer positions at Siem Offshore and Maersk Supply Service, where a successful completion of the LNG Basic and Advance course was achieved. Sam's expertise extends across anchor handling, towing, subsea crane operations, and dynamic positioning maintenance. Earlier in a career spanning from 1994 to 2012 at GEA Westfalia Separator Australia Pty Ltd, Sam held the role of Service Manager, contributing as a safety officer, reliability engineer, and commissioning and service engineer. Academically, Sam holds a high school diploma in Mathematics and Science from the Royal College Colombo, a diploma in Operating Ships on LNG from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and an Engineer Class 1 degree in Marine Engineering from RMIT Melbourne.
