James Menzies

James Menzies is an experienced executive in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as Executive Chairman at Seascape Energy Asia plc since October 2024. Previously, Menzies held the position of Executive Chairman at Longboat Energy plc and Longboat Energy SE Asia, as well as Managing Director at Topaz Number One Limited and Topaz Advisers Limited. Menzies has also contributed as a Non-Executive Director for both Trinity Exploration & Production and Guinness Oil & Gas Exploration Trust plc. Menzies' leadership experience includes serving as CEO of Coro Energy Plc and Salamander Energy PLC. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of London and an MSc in Geophysics & Planetary Physics focused on Oil & Gas Exploration & Production from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
