Marie Travers

Marie joined Seashell in March 2023 as Director of Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications. The fundraising and marketing teams are responsible for growing income to ensure Seashell can meet the needs of the children and young adults as well as ensuring they communicate with a variety of audiences, including staff and prospective staff, in a way that is specifically targeted to their needs.

Marie has held senior-level fundraising positions for health, hunger prevention, and children’s charities. Marie was previously a Trustee of the Nystagmus Network for four years in 2017 and a school Governor for four years in 2016. Marie holds various fundraising, marketing, and leadership qualifications as well as a 2:1 (hons) degree in Business, Government, and Political Theory.
