Haowen Zhou is an experienced professional in environmental sustainability and project management. Currently serving as a Project Management Intern at Seaside Sustainability since November 2020, Haowen leads a team in researching environmental impacts and has developed a web page for hosting quizzes on the organization's website. Previously, as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability, Haowen taught coding in R, enhancing instructional efficiency through well-designed rubrics. An internship at UNIDO involved conducting country case studies related to Sustainable Development Goals, while earlier experience included trainee work in water treatment and a leadership role within an arts association at Xiamen University. Haowen holds a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in New Energy Science and Engineering from Xiamen University.

Seaside Sustainability is a nationally recognized, award-winning 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to community engagement, education and environmental conservation.
