Erkan Cakir is a Senior Mission Equipment Engineer at Seaspan ULC, bringing extensive experience in leading diverse engineering teams for various maritime projects, including the Canadian Coast Guard's Oceanographic Science Vessel and the Canadian Navy’s Joint Support Ship program. With expertise in machinery systems design, integration, and compliance, Erkan has successfully managed significant contracts valued over $10 million and collaborated across multiple departments to ensure project deadlines are met. Prior roles include Engineering Graduate Intern, Junior Mission Equipment Engineer, and research positions, supported by a Master of Engineering in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Bachelor of Science in Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
