SEAT Center (Social Enterprise and Training Center)
Kurticiah Thompson is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Community Engagement at SEAT Center since October 2022, where responsibilities include organizing community events and managing the AmeriCorps National/State program. Previously, Kurticiah held several roles at AmeriCorps VISTA from August 2021 to August 2022, including YouthBuild Fundraising and Development VISTA, focusing on enhancing databases and donor management. Other experiences include working as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau and holding a five-year tenure at JetBlue Airways in Airport Operations, where customer service and administrative tasks were key components. Additional roles include positions at Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region, Pamal Broadcasting, JCPenney, and CVS Pharmacy. Kurticiah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The College of Saint Rose, earned in 2014.

The Social Enterprise and Training (SEAT) Center is missioned to assist young adults in transforming their lives and their communities through education, training, community mobilization, and sustainable wage jobs. We offer historic, residential and commercial fee-for-service work that delivers community impact at a competitive price. We provide access to career development and academic support services including accredited training in Green Construction, Weatherization and Healthcare. Through mental toughness, we educate and empower our young people to recognize their social impact and transformative influence in the mobilization of their communities.
