John Maleganos

John Maleganos, CPA has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. John is currently working as a Senior Accounting Manager at SeatGeek since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Accounting Manager at Bird from December 2021 to November 2022. In this role, they managed journal entries and account reconciliations, oversaw month-end close optimization, supervised a team of four direct reports, and implemented appropriate U.S. GAAP treatment for various business transactions.

Before joining Bird, John worked as an Assistant Corporate Controller at Vasomedical, Inc. from July 2021 to December 2021. Additionally, they gained valuable experience at Marcum LLP where they held multiple roles. John started as an Audit Staff in January 2016 and then progressed to become an Audit Senior from September 2017 to August 2019. Eventually, they became an Audit Supervisor and was responsible for reviewing and auditing financial statements, supervising concurring engagements, and assisting clients with technical accounting issues.

Throughout their career, John has developed strong skills in financial statement analysis, team management, and applying accounting principles.

John Maleganos, CPA completed their education at Siena College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting in the years 2010-2014. John further pursued their education at Siena College, obtaining a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Accounting from 2014-2015. In addition to their educational background, John holds a CPA certification from the New York State Education Department.
