Efrat Hurvitz, SHRM-SCP, has a wealth of experience in human resources and organizational development. Efrat is currently serving as the Senior Director of People and Culture at the Seattle Aquarium. In this role, they oversee the human resources function and works to create a supportive and inclusive organizational culture.

Prior to their current position, Efrat held the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at the Seattle Humane. Efrat Hurvitz, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse education history. In 1989 to 1992, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology with Honors at the University of Haifa. Following this, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Psychology, once again at the University of Haifa. Efrat continued their academic journey by obtaining a post MA degree in Organizational Consulting from the University of Haifa between 2005 and 2007. In 2014, they expanded their knowledge with a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of Washington. Additionally, Efrat holds certifications such as Dare to Lead Trained, obtained in September 2021 from Dare to Lead™ Trained, and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation, which they achieved in January 2018 from SHRM. Furthermore, they received a certification in Non Profit Management in September 2014 through UW Professional & Continuing Education.
