Seattle Children's Healthcare System
Ahana Manchanda is currently a Research Intern at Seattle Children's, contributing to the Shih Lab by developing therapies for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage and delayed cerebral ischemia. In addition, Ahana serves as a Research Assistant at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, investigating the impact of neurosteroids and microglial activity on neurogenesis and neurodegeneration. Ahana is also an Author for the Princeton Legal Journal, analyzing the patentability of brain organoids. Past experiences include a Student Researcher role at Ludwig Cancer Research and leadership positions in various political and educational organizations, including Chair of the Orange County High School/Teen Democrats and the Model United Nations. Ahana is pursuing an A.B. in Neuroscience at Princeton University, having completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Winter Park High School and additional studies at Yale University and NYU Tisch.
