Hana Rubin

Hana Rubin has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Director of Philanthropic Strategies at Seattle Foundation since December 2022. Prior to that, they were the Interim Managing Director of Marketing & Communications at Seattle Foundation from May 2022 to December 2022. Before that, they worked as the Director of Operations, Philanthropic Services from March 2020 to December 2022, and as the Senior Operations Manager, Philanthropic Services from August 2016 to March 2020. Hana also has experience as an Operations Manager and Digital Communications Manager at Seattle Foundation.

Before joining Seattle Foundation, Hana worked as a Proofreader at PCC Community Markets starting in January 2009. Hana also served as a Communications Officer at Global Partnerships from July 2007 to April 2010. Additionally, Hana worked as a Communications Associate at ITTO | International Tropical Timber Organization from November 2004 to July 2007, and as a Consultant at E-Square Inc. from September 2003 to October 2004. Hana began their career as an Associate at Environment International Ltd from June 2001 to September 2003, and as a Research Associate at Citizens Funds from June 2000 to May 2001.

Hana Rubin has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College, where they studied Japanese and English. Hana also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Hana has a Certificate in Branding and Communications from Temple University Japan Campus. In addition, they have attended Doshisha University for the Associated Kyoto Program, though it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from there.
