Eric L. Olson is currently the Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center and Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives at the Seattle International Foundation. Eric L. specializes in policy advice and strategic planning in areas such as promoting rule of law, ending forced migration and displacement, promoting equity for women and indigenous peoples, and strengthening civil society in Central America. With a background in international relations, Eric has held various positions in organizations such as Amnesty International USA and Washington Office on Latin America. Eric L. has a strong focus on research and publications related to security cooperation, combatting organized crime, and addressing criminal violence in the Americas.

Seattle International Foundation SIF supports worldwide poverty alleviation efforts through grant-making and other activities, with a strategic focus on Central America. SIF was founded in 2008 as a supporting organization to Seattle Foundation for the purpose of increasing and enhancing international philanthropy and development from the Pacific Northwest.
