Ivan Brown

Ivan Brown is a Research Technologist II at UW Medicine since November 2024, working in the Department of Neurosurgery's Emerson Lab. Concurrently, Ivan serves as a Figure Skating Teaching Professional with the Seattle Kraken Skating Academy since September 2021. Previous experience includes roles as a Product Sciences Intern at Sonoma Biotherapeutics and a Bioengineering Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington Bioengineering department, where guidance was provided to students on bioengineering product design and complex systems. Ivan's research background includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Lutz Lab, focusing on protein engineering for diagnostic technologies. Additional experience includes serving as a Dining Room Assistant with Kappa Alpha Theta and as a Figure Skating Teaching Professional at Highland Ice Arena, where Ivan taught private and group lessons. Ivan also held the position of Director at DubsTech, overseeing communication on the group's Discord platform. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Data Science from the University of Washington College of Engineering, achieved in 2024.
