Sara Shaban

Sara Shaban, Ph.D., currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Seattle Pacific University since May 2020. Previously, Sara held the position of Director of Communications at PROJECT PEANUT BUTTER from July 2017 to July 2020, overseeing social media, branding, marketing initiatives, and partnerships with donors while producing impactful stories on medical research in Sierra Leone. Additional experience includes roles as a Ridgel Fellow and Doctoral Research Assistant at the Missouri School of Journalism, and Director of Communications at Congregation Shaare Emeth. Education includes a Ph.D. in Journalism-Media Sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Arts from Saint Louis University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Harding University.
