Rachel Martin

Rachel Martin is an accomplished Acquisitions Manager at The Seattle Public Library since August 2000, where leadership of a seven-member team focuses on ordering, receiving, and invoicing library materials while ensuring exceptional customer service. Previously serving as a Selection Librarian, Rachel specialized in selecting library resources for diverse audiences across various formats. From August 1995 to July 2000, Rachel worked as a Reference Librarian at Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, where responsibilities included assisting patrons in accessing information and promoting early literacy initiatives. Rachel holds a Master of Library & Information Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Western Washington University.
