Rick Sheridan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rick has held leadership positions such as Director of Institutional and Strategic Advancement at The Seattle Public Library, where they oversaw corporate level functions and played a key role in long-term strategy and financial sustainability. Prior to that, they served as Communications Director at the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Business Transformation Agency, where they managed communication efforts and supervised professional teams. Rick also has experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as the Communications and Marketing Vice President at the Building Owners and Managers Association. Before transitioning to the public and nonprofit sectors, they worked as a Bond Trader at Lehman Brothers. In addition to their financial background, Rick has military experience as a Commander in the US Army, where they led a civil affairs team and managed relationships with Afghan leaders. Throughout their career, Rick has demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Rick Sheridan received their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Davidson College, where they attended from 1985 to 1989. Rick then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business from 1992 to 1994.
