Developmental Analyst at Seattle Sounders FC

Matt Dorman has a diverse work experience in the soccer industry. Matt is currently working as a Developmental Analyst for the Seattle Sounders FC since 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the U.S. Soccer Federation, including USWNT Opposition Scout and Coach Educator starting in 2022. From 2022 to 2023, they served as the Director of Player Development and Boys & Girls ECNL Head Coach at Seattle United. Before that, they worked at OL Reign as an Academy Technical Director, Head Academy Coach, and 1st Team Video Analyst (NWSL) from 2017 to 2022. Matt also has experience with US Youth Soccer as an ODP Head Coach and Region IV Coach from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as an assistant coach at Saint Martin's University, head coach at Shoreline Community College and the Bellevue School District, and an assistant coach for the Seattle Sounders Women. Matt also worked at U.K. Elite Soccer as an Assistant Regional Manager and Staff Coach.

Matt Dorman began their education in 2003 at the University of Birmingham, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography. Matt completed this program in 2006. Afterward, they attended Leeds Beckett University from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Sport, Leisure & Equity.

In addition to their academic achievements, Matt Dorman has also obtained two certifications. In January 2012, they received the Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Then, in February 2019, they obtained an A-Youth License from the U.S. Soccer Federation.
