Kate Elias is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in academic advising and student success. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success and Associate Dean for Student Academic Affairs at Seattle University since November 2009, Kate coordinates academic advising for undergraduate and graduate students and manages the Arts and Sciences Advising Center. Previous roles include Director of Academic Services at Linfield University, where Kate directed academic advising and learning support services, and Academic Advisor positions at both Oregon State University and Rutgers University, where Kate advised thousands of students on academic paths and career opportunities. Kate holds a Doctor of Philosophy in American History from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's Degree in American History from The Evergreen State College.
